Payment
Initially orders must be paid for in advance. However as I get to know customers through repeat orders this rule could be relaxed and cards sent on approval.
Payment should be made by cheque drawn on a British Bank or by Postal Order. It is of course not advisable to send cash but if you decide to it must be entirely at your own risk, although sending cash by ROYAL MAIL SPECIAL DELIVERY SERVICE does
eliminate such risk as a signature is required at destination and non-delivery is insured by their compensation scheme. For overseas clients it is possible to accept cheques drawn on a foreign bank so long as the exchange rate is correct at the time and please add ten
pounds sterling to cover the British Bank cheque negotiation charge. In these circumstances dispatch of orders would be delayed until such cheques are cleared.
Please make cheques payable to P OCONNELL
Payment by Credit Card cannot be accepted at the moment although it is a possible option at a later date. Should it become available in the future details will then be posted on this site.
Returns
Any unsatisfactory items must be returned within 7 days of receipt for examination before any refunds or credit notes can be issued.
Size Information
If the number of cards in a set is not preceded by a code letter it is to be assumed that they are standard size cards. This would be the case with the majority of cards. The code letters for other size cards are as follows:-
· K Smaller than standard.
· M Medium size.
· L Large size.
· T Typhoo / Doncella size.
· X Extra large size.
· P Postcard size.
· D Dual: More than one size.
· S Stereoscopic series
· F Photographic.
Postage and Packing
Items valued up to £20 -------------------- --0.50p
Items valued over £20 and up to £50-------£1.00
Items valued over £50 and up to £250---- -£4.00
Items valued over £250 ----------------------£6.00
These rates do not apply when the postal rate appears with the item for sale. It may be a bulky item therefore the rate would be higher.
Condition
Abbreviations to condition are as follows:-
· EX Excellent.
· V.G. Very Good.
· G Good.
· F Fair.
If A+ or sign appears after the abbreviation it means that the condition is very near to the condition quoted. GEN. Means that most of the cards are in the condition stated but a few could be of a higher or lower grade.
Gradual Payments
For clients on a set budget large lists of cards (sets or odds) may be ordered and set aside for payment on a monthly basis. Choose the monthly amount to suit your circumstances (TEN POUNDS MINIMUM) then every month on a date convenient to
yourself cards to the limit of your chosen amount will be dispatched to you. This system enables the more expensive sets to be purchased over a period of time and hopefully gives a little to look forward to every month. Cheques may be sent on a monthly basis or if it is
more convenient a bankers standing order could be set up.
